The above picture was taken Saturday night after Rach burned her finger on the stove. OUCH! Excuse the very large wet spot on her shirt. It was a very traumatic experience. Many tears and lots of drool. I'm sure it hurt a lot worse than it looked.



These two pictures were taken this morning. She said something about a butterfly...
No more band-aids either! All better.

The Long Awaited News!!

Yes, yes, we are having another GIRL!! The ultrasound tech is about 95% sure. Our little baby had her legs together so she wasn't 100%. So, we're having another ultrasound in a month to check the sex one more time and to check the umbilical cord. She wanted to check that it was connected to the baby okay (I suppose to see the blood flow) but she just wasn't able to b/c of the way she was lying. It was a totally routine thing but she just couldn't get her to move to be able to see her tummy.

Now, we just have to come up with a name....

Ahh...the quiet

It's finally quiet in my house. The kids are asleep! (We're keeping Ev while Mariah's in Michigan...he finally gets to see his Daddy tomorrow! Poor little guy, he misses his mommy and I know his mommy misses him like crazy.) The kitchen work is done for now. There are a few minor things to do but that'll have to wait for another day.

So anywho, I was checking out some various blogs and came across this cool wall art design. I think it would be easy to recreate. Kind of modern, kind of sweet.

Winter isn't done yet

After a week of warm weather, this is what we woke up to this morning...

Do your kiddos have a "I'm being naughty spot"? No, not a place for time out. I'm talking about when it gets really quiet in your house. This is the place they take forbidden items (like Mommy's make-up) and play with them. This happened this morning (like most days). Rachie got real quiet. I knew she was up to no good.

Rachel's "I'm being naughty spot" is between our bed and the wall. It's out of plain view. Here are some pictures I snapped after I discovered her mischievousness.

Tired

Wow! I don't know what has happened to this week but I'm dog tired. So, now, I'm off to bed. Producing a baby is very hard work. :)

Kitchen: Sewing

Our kitchen mini-makeover is in process. We're hoping to be able to pick up our counter tops sometime this week. (Sidenote: You can save a lot of money by installing your laminate counter tops yourself. Tim has some help lined up. We'll see how it goes!)

With our mini-makeover comes new curtains for the kitchen. I don't mind the mini blinds but the one set of blinds by our table are about an inch too short. That has always bothered me. So, for a cost effective way to fix that I have found a cute pattern on Martha Stewart's website.
