In effort to prolong my laundry duties even further, I have finished my first attempt at sewing Rachel a dress. Okay, I cheated a little. I made her a pillowcase dress with a pillowcase I found from the thrift store and ribbon purchased at Wal-Mart. I learned a few things in the process. Like how to create binding (I think that's what it's called) out of extra fabric and how to sew on purchased bias tape. The purchased bias tape proved to be much easier for me to handle. I'm still having trouble sewing in a straight line. Of course, nothing I sew is really pretty when you look closely. Oh well, that'll come with time. Here are some pictures of my creation...

I know I could hardly even call this an update, but life has been very ordinary and predictable lately. I wouldn't have it any other way.

I only have one child but the story in Amy Scott's blog today was very encouraging!
